Area of work: 22,200 sq. ft., ADG provided all architectural and engineering services necessary to replace an existing air handler unit and associated humidifier, ductwork as well as replaced pneumatically operated VAV Boxes, damper actuators, and control valves with new electronically operated (DDC) and replace defective pressure, temperature, humidity and flow sensors, VFD’s and other miscellaneous steam, hydronics, chilled water and air distribution system components. This air handler serves the primary care areas on half of the second floor in building 160. The project reduced energy consumption for Bldg. 160 HVAC Systems resulted in 3,000 Btu/sq. ft. savings and reduced greenhouse gas emissions by 795 metric tons.
